"This is an astonishingly good old-timey band and album. Yes, "OLD-TIMEY" the way it should be.."

"Thanks so much for sending your finely crafted musical creation, in the California style Old Time style. The promo package is impressive...After listening to it a few times Bob and I both agree it's a good collection of oldtimey and original tunes, lovingly and respectfully recorded. Your originals have that uplifting oldtime touch; Searle's tunes sound almost like old Carter Family songs. And Laura's compositions are very well developed, you didn't miss too many references, lots of sweet details. Many of your traditional oldtimey tunes are ones we've loved for years, reminds me of the great Kenny Hall and Sweets Mill SB collection. Loved that you opened with Dixie Darlin.... The banjo, guitar and fiddle all sound just right for oldtimey, with the silvery tones of the autoharp... Harmonies are all right-on…

"I just got your new CD. Wow. It's great. I really like how your, well played, autoharp fills in the sound on many of the tunes. It gives them a nice rich, old-time sound. I really like your voice and timing as well. Obviously a lot of work went into this.

"Really fun...I liked the variety of instruments that they played. Not something like you can hear everyday on the radio... something special."

"The Tea SIppers have a very interesting program, a combo of 1920's & 1930's songs along with a touch of Appalachian fiddle music. That, along with the 1920's dress and enthusiasm that they put into their performance makes for a very enjoyable show. I recommend it highly to anyone who likes this kind of music and also to anyone else, as you might learn to like it."

" You guys were so much fun to listen to and you were so much more than great music! I felt like we were a part of it all... it wasn't just a concert and it wasn't just for kids. It was fun, engaging... and not spoonfed fun... it was participatory and soul enlivening. You came right into the audience so we could see the instruments up close. Our kids even took some of your souvioner tea bags and handed them out to other people in the audience. They loved it"
