The West County Professional Tea Sippers' Oldtime String Band are:

Laura Lind: lead & harmony vocals, songwriting, Autoharp

Laura's a native Californian with a distinct singing voice. She's been performing on-stage from an early age and is a prolific song writer and award winner. Her indie cd "Wildbirds" received air play in 17 countries. Laura plays custom made diatonic Autoharps. She lead picks melody from 36 strings. The Autoharp is a truly American instrument patented by a German immigrant around the turn-of-the-century and once more popular than the guitar. It's basically a zither with felted chord bars to damp out particular strings. The A'harp above was custom made by Dr. George Orthey of Pennsylvania, including Mulberry wood from the Carter Family Ranch in Virginia. She enjoys imitating animals and birds.

He write's songs of love and heartbreak in the traditional fashion. Searle began his fiddling low-on-the-arm and it's been getting closer to his chin ever since... He has a passion for seeking out the world's best fiddle tune, of the week. Searle appreciates the positive community aspects of jamming & making music with others. A Camellia Sinesis tea plant grows in his backyard.

David Brown: banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, vocals, et. al.

Football has the "triple threat," baseball has the "five skills player," and old-time music has David Brown. He plays tunes with a dancer's flair. David's a California native with a deep love and appreciation of Southern old-time music, which he's been studying and playing for 30 years. It's been said that he finds the lyrics he needs whenever he looks upward and to the right? The banjo's another core American instrument in the old-time tradition via African roots. David is appreciated for collecting & posting his old-time calendar on the Yahoo OldtimeSF list.

Dave Krinkel: guitar, Dobro, silence

Dave hears it all in his solid side-man role playing rhythm & lead guitar, and sliding around melodically on the Dobro, a resonator-guitar familiar to western cowboy music... even like w-a-y out west in Hawaii. Dave's a Californian compendium of rehearsal archives and accouterments. Along with a good natured smile, his appreciation for old-time music shines through in his awesome pickin'. As far as we know, he never sings.
